DAYTOUR GUIDELINES
We want every guest to enjoy a safe and pleasant journey. Please take note of the following guidelines:
- Conduct & Behavior
Tours by Jano reserves the right to end the tour immediately if there is any bad behavior or disrespect towards our staff.
Courtesy and cooperation are expected at all times to ensure a smooth experience.
- Driver & Guide Services
Our drivers are basic guides only and can provide general assistance.
If you wish to have a professional licensed tour guide, this can be arranged for ¥30,000 (10 hours), with an overtime fee of ¥5,000 per additional hour (subject to availability).
- Vehicle Use
The vehicle is company property. Please treat it with care.
Some of our drivers may not be able to operate the Bluetooth function of the car.
- Guest Belongings
Our staff cannot carry or manage personal belongings such as bags, shopping bags, or umbrellas during the tour. Guests are responsible for their own items.
- Cleanliness & Fees
Guests are expected to maintain cleanliness inside the vehicle.
In cases where extra cleaning is required due to negligence, a cleaning fee of ¥50,000 will be charged.

Cultural & Historic Sites
Nikko Toshogu Shrine – Lavishly decorated UNESCO shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, featuring the famous “See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil” monkey carvings.
Rinno-ji Temple – Important Buddhist temple with three golden Buddha statues.
Futarasan Shrine – Sacred shrine founded in 767, dedicated to Nikko’s mountain deities.
Shinkyo Bridge – Striking vermillion bridge at the entrance to Nikko’s shrine area.
Nature & Scenic Spots
Lake Chuzenji – Beautiful lake at the foot of Mt. Nantai, popular for cruises and seasonal scenery.
Kegon Falls (Kegon-no-taki) – One of Japan’s top three waterfalls, dropping 97 meters.
Ryuzu Falls – “Dragon Head Waterfall” famous for its autumn foliage.
Kirifuri Falls – Scenic waterfall surrounded by lush forest.
Others / Leisure
Nikko Edo Wonderland – Edo-period theme park with samurai, ninja shows, and cultural experiences (optional, needs more time).
Onsen Areas (Kinugawa Onsen) – Hot spring town near Nikko, known for relaxing baths and ryokan stays.
10-Hour Tour Highlights
Morning: Visit Toshogu Shrine, Shinkyo Bridge, and Rinno-ji Temple.
Lunch: Local specialty (yuba – tofu skin dishes).
Afternoon: Head to Lake Chuzenji and view the magnificent Kegon Falls.
